Joy Dorothy Higgs

Joy Dorothy Higgs, 86, of Bandon, Ore., formerly of Siloam Springs, Ark., died March 4, 2018, in Coos Bay, Ore.

She was born July 9, 1931, in South Bend, Ind., to Arthur Chester Peterson and Dorothy May Feece Peterson. She married Edward Higgs and they owned and operated a custodial service in Bakersfield, Calif. She was involved in many church activities and functions. She loved traveling up and down the Oregon Coast looking for lighthouses; crocheting baby blankets and booties and selling them at craft fairs; and searching for ghost towns.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister; one brother; one sister-in-law; and a daughter, Judy Parrott.

She is survived by a son, Edward Higgs and wife Loretta of Gentry, Ark.; two daughters, Dorothy Gayle Hickam and husband Don of Bandon, and Pam Jenkins and husband Dave of Bakersfield; two sisters, Lila Roach of Bandon, and Nordell Johnson and husband Norman of Bandon; 10 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2018, at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs. Burial will follow at Gentry Cemetery.

Judson M. Morrison

Judson M. Morrison, 85-year-old resident of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died March 6, 2018, in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Born August 28, 1932, in Spickard, Missouri, he was the son of Garland Morrison and Amy Coon Morrison. Judson married Beverly Ann Gage in April of 1999. He served our country in the Air Force and was a member of the American Legion. Judson worked for Davison Shoes and later Henry's Hardware. He was an avid baseball card collector, loved to play golf and fish any time he could. Judson was of the Southern Baptist faith.

Judson was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Delores; brother, Rodney; son, Bryan; and son-in-law, Brad Holroyd.

Survivors include his wife Beverly of the home; daughters, Cheryl Rice and husband Linn of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Debi Holroyd of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Lisa Moulton of Johnson, Arkansas and Michelle Green and husband David of Centerton, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Nick Rice, Andy Rice, Matthew Holroyd, Dana Holroyd and Kelli Monday; and three great-grandchildren, Maleah, Chandler and Corbin.

Funeral services were 10 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Visitation was 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, KS 66601-1653.
