Leone O'Donnell, longtime resident of Siloam Springs, Ark., will celebrate her 100th birthday on March 19, 2018.
She was born and raised in a small community east of Fayetteville called Round Mountain. She moved to Siloam Springs as a young woman and worked as a maid and waitress at the Crown Hotel downtown.
She married Harry O'Donnell on Dec. 20, 1945. He worked at John Brown University as a maintenance man until he went to work for El Paso Gas. The couple traveled around Texas and the western states building transfer stations until his retirement in 1989.
The couple returned to Siloam Springs and Leone continues to live at home.
