Socorro Gallardo

Socorro Gallardo, infant son of Santiago Gallardo and Maria DeJesus Santillan, died May 7, 2018, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital, in Siloam Springs, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Juan and Joaquin.

A rosary will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.

Jane Elizabeth Vest

Jane Elizabeth Vest of Farmington, Ark., passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 6, 2018. She was 65. Jane was born October, 23, 1952, in Harrison, Ark., to Perry and Ernestine Trotter.

She is survived by her two sons, Eric Vest and fiancée, Lina, of Bella Vista, Ark., and Josh Vest and wife, Becca, of Fayetteville, Ark.; a grandson, Croxton Vest, of Fayetteville, Ark.; a sister, Nancy Thompson, of Springdale, Ark.; an aunt, Dorothy Murray, of Harrison, Ark.; a niece, Elizabeth Sniff, of Fayetteville, Ark.; two nephews, Riley McCormick of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Ryan McCormick of Springdale, Ark.; and several cousins.

Jane was a beloved mother who single-handedly raised her two sons. She was also an esteemed elementary school librarian, and after retirement, she served on the Washington County Library Board and as a volunteer for the Farmington Public Library. She enjoyed reading, playing board games, and spending time with family. Moreover, Jane loved people, and her happiness and positivity touched many people throughout her lifetime. She will be missed.

Jane was a proud supporter of the Methodist Church. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Farmington United Methodist Church.

Graveside services will take place at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Maplewood Cemetery in Harrison, Ark. Memorial services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, at Farmington United Methodist Church in Farmington, Ark. To sign the online guest book, visit www.wassonfuneralhome.com.
