Greenwood's volleyball team is on a roll, and the Lady Bulldogs didn't slow down Thursday night.

Greenwood won its 14th straight match and remained unbeaten in 5A-West Conference play with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-21) sweep of Siloam Springs inside Panther Activity Center.

The defending state champion Lady Bulldogs (20-4, 10-0) also have yet to drop a set in 10 conference games.

"That's not something we talk about. That's not something that's a goal of ours," said Greenwood coach Jennifer Golden. "It's just getting out there and playing every play to the best that we can and getting better as we go."

Greenwood had a balanced effort Thursday in its win against Siloam Springs.

Junior Camryn Presley had 12 kills, 18 assists and nine digs, while senior Abby Cagle had 12 kills.

Junior Zoe Benton had six kills, six digs and two solo blocks, while sophomore Larkin Luke and junior Bella Mora each had five kills.

Sophomore Anna Johnston had 13 assists and six digs, while junior Izzy Davis had 19 digs and junior Josie Chapple five digs.

Greenwood finished off the first set on a 6-0 run to win 25-19, taking advantage of several Siloam Springs errors.

The Lady Bulldogs led 16-15 in the second set after a Chloe Price kill brought the Lady Panthers within one. Greenwood responded with a pair of kills from Benton and one from Luke to pull ahead 21-16. Cagle had a pair of kills down the stretch.

Siloam Springs responded in the third set and led 13-10 and forced Greenwood to use a timeout. The Lady Bulldogs responded with an 8-3 run and pulled away for the match win.

"I really feel like we adjust to whatever the other team does well," Golden said. "You know, we've played Siloam twice now. We have film on them. We're able to look back and see what did we do well against them. What did they do well against us, and we adjust. I feel like we're able to put that into our plays and our defense and try to match that."

Senior Ellie Lampton led Siloam Springs (13-8-1, 7-3) with 13 kills, while senior Chloe Price had eight kills, 14 assists and six digs and Kelsey Lewis 25 digs and one ace.

Siloam Springs coach Joellen Wright gave credit to the Lady Bulldogs and said they were "really polished."

"They have lots of positive points," Wright said. "They don't commit a lot of errors. They are pretty solid. Hitting is pretty strong -- really strong. We struggled with some of that. To their credit they were definitely the better team tonight for sure."

Sophomore Makenna Thomas had nine assists, three aces and six digs, while Rachel Conrad had two blocks, Reigan Brown one ace and Mackenzie Cook seven digs.

There were moments when the Lady Panthers seemed to be on the verge of making a run but couldn't sustain any momentum.

"We couldn't find the gas pedal," Wright said. "We couldn't push it down to the floor and go."

Wright felt like some of the Lady Panthers' problems were self-inflicted as well.

"I feel like some of their points were our errors," she said. "Silly things like free balls out of bounds or roll shots out of bounds. The error factor on our side, I felt like we were the reason. The kills I can give them, but when we send easy balls in the net, or long on the serve or out of bounds, that's where we have to clean up our stuff."

Siloam Springs 3, Alma 2

Siloam Springs picked up a tough 5A-West Conference win Tuesday 25-23, 25-27, 25-16, 25-27, 15-7 win against the Airedales at Charles Dyer Arena.

Ellie Lampton led Siloam Springs with 18 kills and 21 digs, while Chloe Price had 13 kills, 19 digs and 26 assists. Reigan Brown added six kills, nine digs and seven aces, while Kelsey Lewis had 28 digs and one ace.

Maddy Lasater served four aces for Siloam Springs, and Makenna Thomas had two aces and 15 assists.

Siloam Springs returned to action on Saturday in the Lady Cat Invitational in Conway. Results were not available at presstime.

The Lady Panthers are scheduled to host defending 4A champion Shiloh Christian for a nonconference match on Monday at 6:30 p.m. It's "Dig Pink" night in support of breast cancer awareness.
