Siloam Springs' senior golfers played their final home match Monday in a tri-match against Springdale Har-Ber and Van Buren at Siloam Springs Country Club.

In the boys match senior Karson Clement shot an even-par round of 35, but the Panthers came up a few strokes short as a team as Springdale Har-Ber won the match with a 150 to Siloam Springs' 162. Van Buren finished third with a 177.

"Our boys were really close to great rounds," said Siloam Springs head coach Michael Robertson, "but give credit to Har-Ber, who played really well."

Clement played one of the better rounds of his career and bounced back after a tough bogey on hole No. 8. He came back and shot a birdie on No. 9.

"It was great to see Karson finish strong," Robertson said. "He had a bogey on No. 8 then follows it with a great birdie on 9 to finish his round at even par to win medalist in front of many family and friends. Just a fun way to end his last home match."

Senior Chase Beyer shot 41, while senior Josh Johnson and junior Evan Sauer each shot 43. Senior Trey Jackson finished with a 44.

Har-Ber's Cole Bishop led the Wildcats with a 36 while Spencer Emerson shot 37, Boston Maxley 38 and Peyton Locke 39. Van Buren's Tucker Anders shot a 41 to lead the Pointers

In junior varsity action for Siloam Springs, Breck Soderquist shot 47, Ethan Owens 50, Owen Thomas 51, Max Perkins 53, Nick Gray 57, Jacob Smith 61.

In the girls match, senior Kaitlyn Robinson shot a medalist round of 39, but the Lady Panthers lost 130-137 to Har-Ber.

"I thought Kaitlyn played really well, maybe one of her best overall matches to win medalist against a very good Har-Ber girls team," Robertson said.

Senior McKenzie Blanchard shot a 47, while senior Kendall McCormick shot 51, senior Jaelee Snyder 52 and Chloe Rocha 61. In JV action, Kendi Williamson shot a 58.

Grace Kilcrease led Har-Ber with a 40, while Abbey Ott shot 42 and Macey Wyler 48. Van Buren had one individual play as Haylie Girvin shot 68.

Siloam Springs is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday at Alma before playing next Monday in the 5A-West Conference Tournament at Ben Geren Park in Fort Smith.

"Proud of these eight seniors," Robertson said. "They have had great seasons and many of them have been varsity contributors since they were freshman. These four years have gone quickly, and we are going to miss all of them. But like I told them, this season is not over yet and we still have work to do. We will look to finish strong at Alma on Wednesday and then head to conference tournament on Monday. I expect both groups to play well."
