Colcord, Kansas, Watts all victorious

COLCORD, Okla. -- The Colcord (Okla.) Hornets improved to 3-0 on the season with a 40-0 win Friday against Porter at Hornet Stadium.

After a scoreless first quarter, Colcord scored 24 points in the second quarter and 16 more in the third in the blowout win.

Raven Difrancisco and Blake Gonzales each topped 100-yards rushing for Colcord.

Difrancisco carried 12 times for 167 yards and scored three touchdowns. He also completed 8 of 21 passes for 70 yards and a touchdown.

Gonzales rushed 11 times for 110 yards and two scores and caught three passes for 30, while Reece Beachamp had nine carries for 86 yards. Chad Kendrick also caught seven passes for 24 yards.

The Hornets totaled 463 yards of offense, including 393 on the ground.

Colcord returns to action this week at home against Quapaw for homecoming.

Kansas 32, Westville 14

WESTVILLE, Okla. -- Kansas improved to 2-1 on the season with a road victory over the Yellowjackets.

Daris Glass led Kansas with 102 yards on 22 carries and scored two touchdowns.

Easton Wiggins had 80 yards rushing and a TD and 112 yards passing and and two TD, both to receiver Chance Kolysko, who had 51 receiving yards.

Jager Pifer and Glass each had 12 tackles on defense.

The Comets return to action this week at home against Nowata.

Watts 44,

Cave Springs 22

WATTS, Okla. -- The Engineers improved to 3-0 to start the season with a 44-22 win against Cave Springs.

Blayne Harlin rushed 15 times for 126 yards and three touchdowns and caught one pass for a 27-yard touchdown.

Kenny Tush added a 24-yard receiving touchdown for the Engineers.

Watts returns to action next week at Porum.
