OKLAHOMA CITY -- Three John Brown men's soccer players -- junior Kelvin Omondi, junior Ryan Williams and senior Adam Holt -- were named to the Sooner Athletic Conference's All-Conference first team for the 2017 season, the conference offices announced Tuesday, Nov. 14.

The 2016 Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year earned back-to-back All-Conference selections after piecing together eight goals and an assist (17 points) in 10 conference matches, including a trio of game-winning strikes against Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas), Mid-America Christian (Okla.) and Central Christian (Kan.).

The forward had a pair of multi-goal games, including scoring both goals in a 2-1 come-from-behind win over MACU on Oct. 7 and a hat trick, the first of his career, against Central Christian on Oct. 21.

Overall, Omondi finished the season with four multi-goal outings including at least in a goal in five of John Brown's six non-conference games. In total, Omondi paced the JBU offense to the tune of 15 goals, one assist (31 points).

Joining Omondi on the first team was Williams, who made his third-career appearance on the season-ending honor list and the second-consecutive time as a first-teamer.

His 13 assists paced all Golden Eagles and finished tops in the conference, including his nine helpers in conference games. Williams finished the season with six goals, including the game-winner at then-No. 3 MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.), and 13 assists (25 points).

Three different times in conference play Williams posted multi-assist matches, against Southwestern Assemblies of God, Bacone (Okla.) and Central Christian. Against Central Christian, Williams notched a season-best five-point outing with a goal and three assists.

Finally, Holt was named the league's second-best keeper, behind Goalkeeper of the Year Vladimir Kalajdzic of Oklahoma Christian, and made the first team for the third-straight season after earning second team honors as a freshman.

In conference play, Holt faced 56 shots on goal, making 38 saves and allowing 18 goals. This allowed him to average 1.73 goals-against and boast a .679 save percentage, including one shutout of Central Christian.

On his way to setting a new career shutout program record with 25 total, Holt made 71 saves on 103 shots on goal. This led to a .689 save percentage and a 1.65 goals-against average with two total clean sheets, including a 0-0 draw at Oklahoma City in the SAC tournament quarterfinals.
