Kenzi Jade Payne

Kenzi Jade Payne, infant daughter of Jay and Krystal Payne, died Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital.

She was born on April 30, 2018, in Siloam Springs, Ark. She was a smart, happy, blue-eyed baby, who was loved by everyone.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Lois Payne, and Robert and Opal Burton.

She is survived by her parents, Jay and Krystal Payne; one brother, Colton Payne; and two sisters, Kelsey Payne and Khloe Payne.

Visitation is from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2018, at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home.

Funeral services are 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home.

Wayne Melton Rice

Wayne Melton Rice, 68-year-old resident of Rose, Oklahoma, died on July 3, 2018, at his home. Born on August 3, 1949, in Wagoner, Oklahoma, he was the son of Earl Rice and Viginia Thornberg Rice. Wayne attended school in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, for many years, before graduating from Fayetteville High School. He married Karen Rich on November 14, 1970 in Siloam Springs. Wayne worked for 20 years as a maintenance supervisor for Allen Canning Company. He also spent time working as a welder, machinist, farmer, and running a tire shop and enjoyed eating breakfast with the Siloam Springs Class of 1969. Wayne was a member of Lifepoint Fellowship in Kansas, Oklahoma. He was also a member of Tired Iron of the Ozarks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; three children, Anthony Rice and wife Sandra, Michelle Fowler and husband Max, and Joshua Rice and wife Abbey, all of Rose, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Kristina Rice, Kyle Rice, Lisa Milner, Lacy Milner, Carson Rice, and Jebadiah Rice; one great-grandchild on the way; two sisters, Carolyn Church and husband Stanley, and Sue Church and husband Dennis, all of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services were 10 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2018, at Lifepoint Fellowship at Kansas, Oklahoma, with Pastor Rex Blisard and Pastor George McFerron officiating. Burial followed at Welch Prairie Cemetery in Rose. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
