Marianne Bland

Marianne Bland, 86-year-old resident of Gentry, Arkansas, died on June 2, 2018, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital. She was born on September 12, 1931, in Depew, Oklahoma, to Robert Elijah Rogers and Beulah Ophelia Moore Rogers. Marianne moved to Rogers, Arkansas, in ninth grade and graduated from Rogers High School. She married Glenn Bland and they had five children together. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from John Brown University in Siloam Springs. Marianne was an elementary school teacher for 22 years with the Decatur School District. She was a member of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association, The Order of the Eastern Star, Rainbow Girls, and Senior Democrats.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jesse Bland; and five siblings.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Moore and husband Russell of Lincoln, Arkansas, and Jeanne Ann Whitmire Kamm and husband Kent of Van Buren, Arkansas; three sons, Jim Bland and wife Cara of McAlester, Oklahoma, John Bland and wife Barbara of Siloam Springs, and Jeff Bland and wife Leslie of Siloam Springs; nine grandchildren, Justin Bland and wife Liz, Mikey "Mac" Bland and wife Erica, Martin Moore, Katie Kamm and husband Andrew, Eli Bland, Ryli Middendorff and husband Jesper, Tyler Bland, Zane Bland, and Micah Bland; four great-grandchildren, Ty Kamm, Lillian, London, and Lincoln Bland; and sister, Elizabeth DeGraff of San Diego, California.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, with Pastor Tim Estes officiating. Burial will follow at Blagg Cemetery in Siloam Springs. Linda Marlene Harper Heathman, 67, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died at her residence on June 3, 2018.

She was born Sept. 2, 1950, in Leavenworth, Kan., to Lavina and Rev. Donald Harper.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Gary Heathman; one son, Charles Heathman and wife Devon of Siloam Springs; two daughters, Gayla Reid and husband Keegan of Siloam Springs, and Traci Shropshire and husband Joseph of Wichita, Kan.; one brother, Dennis Harper and wife Theresa of Kansas; three sisters, Nancy Cloyd and husband Roger of Nebraska, Carol Small and husband Dale of Kansas, and Ruth Cooper and husband Lonnie of Kansas; and seven grandchildren.
