Middle school teams compete in Rogers

The Siloam Springs eighth-grade boys finished sixth overall at the Northwest Arkansas Middle School League Meet on Tuesday at Whitey Smith Stadium on the campus of Rogers High School.

Fayetteville Ramay won the meet with 143 points, followed by Fayetteville Woodland 124, Springdale Central 64, Springdale Southwest 60, Springdale Lakeside 52, Siloam Springs 46.5, Springdale George 42.5, Rogers Kirksey 37, Rogers Lingle 28, Bentonville Fulbright 11, Bentonville Lincoln 9 and Rogers Elmwood 7.

Michael Rauch took fourth place in the high jump at 5 feet, 2 inches, while Marcus Molina was eighth at 5-0.

Rauch placed seventh in the long jump at 16-3.5, while Ivan Arras was 11th at 15-5.75.

Dylan Garcia placed sixth in the triple jump at 34-4 with Cole Keyser finishing 13th at 31-5.5.

Stone Stevens placed seventh in the shot put at 35-4, followed by Ryder Winfrey in 15th at 32-8.5.

Winfrey took second place in the discus at 117-10 with Jackson Boles taking ninth at 100-6.

Caleb Rodgers placed fifth in the pole vault at 8-0, while Jackson Doornbos was seventh at 8-0.

The 4x800-meter relay team of Connor Clayton, Garcia, Levi Fox and Wilson Cunningham placed second at 9 minutes, 35.60 seconds.

Daxton Moody placed 14th overall in the 110-meter hurdles at 21.88.

Fox finished seventh in the 1,600-meter run at 5:22.97, while Camden Blackfox was 16th at 5:48.97.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Arras, Kevin Pettit, Stevens and Rauch placed seventh at 51.23.

Molina placed ninth in the 400-meter dash at 59.20, while Ronald Mancia was 15th at 1:03.45.

Doornbos placed 11th in the 300-meter hurdles at 53.16, while Moody was 18th at 58.77.

Cunningham placed fifth in the 800-meter run at 2:18.94 with Clayton placing 10th at 2:27.34.

Stevens took 18th in the 200-meter dash at 28.78, while Kevin Depaz was 20th at 30.03.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Arras, Clayton, Cunningham and Molina placed fifth at 4:07.73.

Eighth-grade girls

The eighth-grade girls finished fourth at the meet.

Fayetteville Woodland finished first with 213 points, followed by Rogers Elmwood 91, Springdale Central 79, Siloam Springs 68, Fayetteville Ramay 60.5, Rogers Kirksey 43.5, Rogers Oakdale 31, Springdale George 11, Bentonville Lincoln 8, Springdale Lakeside 6, Rogers Lingle 6 and Springdale Southwest 3.

Brooke Ross placed sixth in the high jump with a height of 4-4.

Faith Ellis placed second in the long jump at 15-1, while Emily Brown was 17th at 11-4.

Ellis placed fifth in the triple jump at 30-8, while Annalise Wleklinski placed 11th at 27-6.75.

Ross placed eighth in the shot put at 29-1 with Whitlee Knight 13th at 26-4.

Ross's throw of 68-10 in the discus was good for third place, while Oneida Batres was fifth at 67-6.

Cailee Johnson placed first in the pole vault at 9-0, with Nyah Hostler taking 10th at 6-0.

The 4x800-meter relay team of Brown, Anna Floyd, Ross and Ariella Vogus took fourth at 12:18.75.

Johnson placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles at 19.25 with Adelynn Fidler placing 15th at 21.21.

Ellis finished fifth in the 100-meter dash at 14.14 with Kaliahni Jacklik taking 11th at 15.00.

Brown took sixth in the 1,600-meter run at 6:38.82 with Floyd placing 10th at 7:34.31.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Clara Church, Ellis, Johnson and Wleklinski placed fifth at 57.86.

Ross finished 11th in the 400-meter dash at 1:16.49, while Bella Dyer took 13th at 1:19.15.

Johnson finished sixth in the 300-meter hurdles at 56.87, while Fidler was eighth at 57.33.

Madison Rice was 12th in the 800-meter run at 3:16.05 followed by Joy Nam at 3:28.99.

Ellis placed seventh in the 200-meter dash at 31.47, with Church in 18th at 34.23.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Brown, Ellis, Vogus and Johnson took fourth at 4:58.81.

Seventh-grade boys

The seventh-grade boys finished fourth overall at Tuesday's meet.

Springdale Southwest took first place with 108 points, followed by Springdale Central 100, Fayetteville Woodland 71, Siloam Springs 64, Springdale Lakeside 60, Rogers Lingle 56, Rogers Elmwood 52, Fayetteville Ramay 44, Springdale George 25, Rogers Kirksey 23, Bentonville Lincoln 10 and Rogers Oakdale 7.

Silas Tugwell placed ninth in the long jump at 14-4.5, while Nathan Hawbaker was 12th at 14-2.5.

Tugwell placed in a tie for first place in the triple jump at 35-1.

Jed Derwin took fifth overall in the shot put at 31-5.5 with Conner Mitchell 10th at 25-8.

Noah Race won the discus with a throw of 97-4.

Devin Husong placed fourth in the pole vault at 7-0.

The 4x800-meter relay team of Hawbaker, Noah Granderson, Cayden Hansen and Ben Stratman placed second at 10:12.32.

Derwin took eighth in the 100-meter dash at 13.41 with Husong placing 12th at 13.85.

Granderson placed first overall in the 1,600-meter run at 5:17.33, while Jared Brewer was 16th at 6:29.95.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Derwin, Hansen, Husong and Tugwell placed seventh at 53.12.

Hawbaker placed fourth in the 400-meter dash at 1:02.19 with Charlie Hyde taking 12th at 1:09.66.

Tugwell placed seventh in the 300-meter hurdles at 54.77.

Hyde placed 11th in the 800-meter run at 2:47.63 and Jared Brewer was 18th at 2:58.80.

Hansen took 17th in the 200-meter dash at 32.02, while Ivan Parra was 18th at 32.79.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Derwin, Hawbaker, Granderson and Tugwell took second at 4:17.35.

Seventh-grade girls

The seventh-grade girls finished fifth overall.

Fayetteville Woodland was first with 149 points, followed by Springdale Central 147, Fayetteville Ramay 72, Rogers Kirksey 53, Siloam Springs 43, Springdale Lakeside 35, Rogers Oakdale 35, Springdale Southwest 34, Rogers Lingle 21, Bentonville Lincoln 10, Springdale George 6 and Rogers Elmwood 4.

Emily Keehn took third in the long jump at 13-5.25, while Sara Cobb placed 10th at 12-2.5.

Keehn took second in the triple jump at 28-10.5.

Keely Keener placed first in the shot put at 34-8.5 with Esparanza Rodriguez was eighth at 23-9.

Keener took second in the discus at 74-9.

The 4x800-meter relay team of Chloe Granderson, Faith Harris, Avery Carter and Lexi Lane placed fourth with a time of 12:36.04.

Keehn finished 10th in the 100-meter hurdles at 21.52, while Lexi Masters was 11th at 21.55.

Hannah Goodman placed ninth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.99, while Sara Cobb was 16th at 15.73.

Carter placed ninth in the 1,600-meter run at 7:13.33 with Harris taking 11th at 7:25.21.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Cobb, Goodman, Masters and Keener took seventh at 1:00.60.

Masters placed seventh in the 300-meter hurdles at 59.51, while Lillian Wilkie was 17th at 1:10.32.

Granderson placed ninth in the 800-meter run at 3:00.41 with Natalie Ross taking 21st at 3:21.84.

Consuelo Rodriguez placed 19th in the 200-meter dash at 36.24.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Cobb, Goodman, Keehn and Masters took eighth at 5:19.94.
