Four members of Siloam Springs Rainbow Assembly No. 11 traveled to Arlington, Texas, to compete in the Frank Marshall Championship Tournament.

Rainbow girls from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Colorado took part in the public speaking competition on March 29-31. The competition has been a goal for many girls in Assembly No. 11 for the past six years.

The Siloam Springs team of Erica Springer, Tabitha Eiland, Maddie King and Cheyanne Parrish performed the initiation parts for the seven bow stations and took third place out of the eight teams, competing by a margin of only 2.5 points.

King, in her first year competing in the senior level of the competition, brought home four awards, including Championship Level Nature, with a score of 1001; Open Level Awesome 7, which is all seven bow station lectures in order; Open Level Gavel Talk; and tied for first place in Open Level Chaplain's Prayers. She also competed in Charity's Lecture.

Springer, in her final year of being able to compete, took second place in Championship Level Love and Open Level Gavel Talk. She also competed in Open Level Charity's Lecture, Open Level Rose Talk and Open Level Awesome 7.

Eiland, also competing for the last time, took second place in Open Level Religion.

Girls from other Arkansas Assemblies took home many more awards.

These girls and a few more from Siloam Springs will compete on the state level in Mid-May in the same competitions.
