Junior high teams compete at conference meet

Ninth-grade boys

The Siloam Springs ninth-grade boys placed seventh overall at the Northwest Arkansas Conference Junior High Meet held Monday at Whitey Smith Stadium on the campus of Rogers High School.

Springdale Central won the meet with 144 points, followed by Bentonville 119, Rogers 104.5, Fayetteville 54, Rogers Heritage 49, Springdale Lakeside 48, Bentonville West 29, Siloam Springs 29, Fayetteville White 16, Springdale Southwest 12.5 and Springdale George 11.

Jace Sutulovich placed first in the shot put with a throw of 49 feet, 3.5 inches, while Caden McHaney was sixth at 41-6.5, Truman Janes seventh at 41-0.5 and Trenton Dry 15th at 37-7.75.

Sutulovich also won the discus with a throw of 155-3 while McHaney was ninth at 109-11 and Dry 11th at 104-0.

Caden McHaney placed 22nd in the 100-meter dash at 13.17, while Ezra Zaidner was 23rd at 13.20.

Malachi Becan placed 25th in the 200-meter dash at 28.17.

Cade Gunter placed 19th in the 400-meter dash at 1:04.26.

Javier Chavez took 11th in the 800-meter run at 2:24.32 with Liam Scott placing 16th at 2:27.74 and Nathen Thurstenson 24th at 2:42.96.

Chavez was 14th in the 1,600-meter run at 5:29.40 with Scott in 17th at 5:31.90 and Thurstenson 25th at 6:03.06.

Jake McDaniel took 16th in the 110-meter hurdles at 21.61.

Zach Jones placed 15th in the 300-meter hurdles at 54.57 with McDaniel in 16th at 55.51.

The 4x800-meter relay team of Scott, Thurstenson, Jones and Chavez placed fifth overall at 9:51.97.

Keegan Fesler placed 10th in the high jump at 5-0.

Gunter was 19th in the long jump at 15-1.75.

Jones placed 19th in the triple jump at 31-5 with McDaniel placing 23rd at 27-6.5.

Ninth-grade girls

The ninth-grade girls finished 10th overall in the junior high girls meet.

Rogers was first at 180, followed by Fayetteville White 109.25, Rogers Heritage 88.25, Springdale Central 69.5, Springdale Southwest 44, Bentonville 41, Bentonville West 34, Fayetteville Purple 19, Springdale Lakeside 16, Siloam Springs 10 and Springdale George 5.

Brianna Wood took fourth in the discus with a throw of 87-5, while Cora Dewey was eighth at 74-4 and Chloe Chandler 12th at 68-0.

Makaylee Reichenecker placed seventh in the shot put at 31-11 while Cora Dewey was 11th at 30-4, Chloe Chandler 14th at 29-3 and Reichenecker 24th at 53-10.

Hannah McCarver finished 21st in the 200-meter dash at 33.76.

Hannah Glass took 14th in the 400-meter dash at 1:14.29.

Kami Hulbert placed ninth in the 100-meter hurdles at 19.84.

Hulbert placed 12th in the 300-meter hurdles at 1:00.59, while Brooke Douthit was 19th at 1:04.89.

The Lady Panthers 4x400-meter relay team of Hulbert, McCarver, Douthit and Glass placed seventh with a time of 5:03.21.

Eighth-grade boys

The Siloam Springs eighth-grade boys finished fifth overall at the conference meet.

Fayetteville Ramay took first place at 139, followed by Bentonville Fulbright 87, Springdale Southwest 86, Fayetteville Woodland 61.5, Siloam Springs 47, Springdale Lakeside 40, Rogers Lingle 32, Bentonville Lincoln 32, Springdale George 29, Rogers Kirksey 27.5, Bentonville Washington 20, Rogers Elmwood 8, Rogers Oakdale 8 and Springdale Central 4.

Ryder Winfrey won the discus with a throw of 129-10, while Chris King was second at 124-0, Stevens 12th at 105-0 and Jackson Boles 43rd at 67-2.

Marcus Molina placed fourth in the high jump at 5-4, with Rauch in 11th at 5-2 and Cunningham in 12th at 5-0.

Stone Stevens placed seventh in the shot put at 37-1 with Chris King ninth at 36-3.5, Ryder Winfrey 21st at 33-5 and Caleb Castaneda 43rd at 29-1.75.

Caleb Rodgers placed eighth in the pole vault at 8-0, while Doornbos was 11th at 7-6.

Connor Clayton placed fifth in the 800-meter run at 2:19.31, while Wilson Cunningham was sixth at 2:20.64, Noah Granderson 13th at 2:25.88 and Cooper Shaw 41st at 2:40.88.

Cunningham took seventh in the 1,600-meter run at 5:14.00 with Granderson in eighth at 5:18.23, Levi Fox 12th at 5:21.52 and Camden Blackfox 38th at 5:57.90.

Ivan Arras placed 37th in the 100-meter dash at 13.77, while Michael Rauch was 38th at 13.84, Kevin Pettit 44th at 14.17 and Kevin Depaz 51st at 14.44.

Arras placed 41st in the 200-meter dash at 28.90 with Depaz placing 48th at 30.31 and Pettit 49th at 30.34.

Marcus Molina placed 19th in the 400-meter dash at 59.81, while Ronald Mancia was 25th at 1:01.33, Nathan Hawbaker 26th at 1:01.53 and Logan Williamson 45th at 1:06.73.

Molina finished 14th in the 110-meter hurdles at 20.55 with Silas Tugwell in 35th at 22.45 and Daxton Moody 41st at 22.87.

Tugwell placed 15th in the 300-meter hurdles at 51.85 with Jackson Doornbos in 24th at 52.90 and Moody 42nd at 57.17.

Arras placed 31st in the long jump at 14-10.25, while Rauch was 34th at 14-6 and Herndon 42nd at 12-7.25.

Tugwell finished 17th in the triple jump at 33-7, with Dylan Garcia in 19th at 33-4.5, Cole Keyser 27th at 32-6 and Hawbaker 37th at 29-1.

The Panthers' 4x100-meter relay team of Stone Stevens, Rauch, Pettit and Arras placed 11th with a time of 52.53.

The 4x400-meter team of Mancia, Clayton, Molina and Cunningham placed fourth at 3:59.38.

The 4x800-meter team of Fox, Clayton, Mancia and Cunningham placed third at 9:30.45.

Eighth-grade girls

Siloam Springs placed eighth in the eighth-grade girls meet.

Fayetteville Woodland was first with 226, followed by Bentonville Lincoln 156.5, Springdale Central 58, Bentonville Washington 45.5, Bentonville Fulbright 43, Fayetteville Ramay 25, Rogers Elmwood 24, Siloam Springs 22, Rogers Oakdale 8, Rogers Kirksey 7, Springdale Southwest 4, Rogers Lingle 3 and Springdale George 1.

Cailee Johnson placed fourth in the 100-meter hurdles finals at 17.97, improving her score from the preliminaries where she ran in 18.24. Adelynn Fidler was 33rd at 21.59.

Faith Ellis placed sixth in the long jump at 15-0, while Church was 31st at 12-4 and Wleklinski 37th at 11-2.5.

Johnson placed third in the triple jump at 32-7, while Ellis was seventh at 31-9.5 and Wleklinski 24th at 27-6.75.

Keely Keener took third in the shot put at 36-1, while Whitlee Knight was 22nd at 28-9.75, Ross 31st at 27-1.25 and Oneida Batres 37th at 25-6.5.

Keener finished 13th in the discus at 65-7, while Batres was 14th at 64-7, Knight 15th at 64-4 and Ross 16th at 64-3.

Ellis finished 15th in the 100-meter dash at 14.59, while Kaliahni Jacklik was 40th at 15.65 and Annalise Wleklinski was 42nd at 15.70.

Ellis was 16th in the 200-meter dash at 30.58 with Clara Church 36th at 33.52 and Sydney Omo 38th at 33.76.

Emily Brown took 31st in the 400-meter dash at 1:14.16, while Bella Dyer was 43rd at 1:19.44 and Madyson Glover 47th at 1:22.40.

Brown placed 19th in the 800-meter run at 2:51.41 while Ariella Vogus was 32nd at 3:05.45 and Madison Rice 40th at 3:16.43.

Brown took 18th in the 1,600-meter run at 6:19.10 with Joy Nam in 38th at 7:40.70.

Brooke Ross placed 12th in the high jump at 4-4.

Johnson placed ninth in the pole vault at 7-0.

Johnson was 13th in the 300-meter hurdles at 56.82, while Fidler took 17th at 58.10.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Church, Johnson, Wlelkinski and Ellis placed ninth at 58.23.

The 4x400-meter team of Vogus, Ellis, Johnson and Brown placed 10th at 4:58.15.

The 4x800-meter team of Rice, Vogus, Nyah Hostler and Brown placed 11th at 12:39.38.
