Sandra "Sandy" Pearl Garrett

Sandra "Sandy" Pearl Garrett, 64, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died April 15, 2019, at her home.

She was born June 18, 1954, in Modesto, Calif., to Luther Ben Crabtree and Audrey May Van Winkle-Crabtree. She married Mike Garrett on Feb. 12, 1972, in Modesto and they shared 47 years together. She enjoyed cooking, helping others, doing projects with her husband, and taking care of her kids and grandchildren. She attended church at Haven of Hope in Keyes, Calif., and then became a member at the Victory Assembly Church in Siloam Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Randy Crabtree, John Buster Crabtree and Joe Crabtree; two sisters, Peggy Overby and Vivian Bartlett.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Mike Garrett Jr. and wife Marci of Siloam Springs and Brad Garrett and wife, Rashelle of Ceres, Calif.; three brothers, Roger Crabtree of Ceres, Larry Crabtree of Siloam Springs and Donny Crabtree of Modesto; two sisters, Jeannie Northsworthy of Bollover, Mo., and Kathy Mellow of Missouri; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were April 20, 2019, at the Victory Assembly Church of Siloam Springs with Pastor Carl Clark and Pastor Ryan Rice officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Haley Ann Loyce Shaffer

Haley Ann Loyce Shaffer, 16, of Decatur, Ark., died April 11, 2019, at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Ark.

She was born June 16, 2002, in Siloam Springs, Ark., to Jerry Shaffer and Tracey Bartlett Harrington. She was a 10th grade student at Decatur Public Schools and attended the Fellowship Full Gospel Church. She worked at Taco Bell.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Richard Bartlett, and Ray and Virginia Harrington.

She is survived by her mother, Tracey Harrington and husband Tim of Decatur; her father, Jerry Shaffer of Decatur; three brothers, Kyle Shaffer, Jeremiah Shaffer and Mike Steward; a stepsister, Ciara Harrington; and two stepbrothers, Dillon Harrington and Chris Taylor, all of Decatur; and grandparents, Deloris Jay, and Bud and Linda Shaffer, all of Decatur.

Memorial services were April 19, 2019, at Decatur Assembly of God.
