SSHS track competes at Bentonville West

The Siloam Springs girls finished sixth at the Bentonville West Relays held at Wolverine Stadium in Centerton.

Fayetteville won the meet with 143 points, followed by Rogers at 106.5, Bentonville High 96.5, Pea Ridge 85, Bentonville West 72, Siloam Springs 33, Springdale Har-Ber 33, Claremore (Okla.) 32, Gravette 28, Springdale 21, Westville (Okla.) 12 and Gentry 1.

Jael Harried placed third in the long jump at 16 feet, 3.25 inches with Brooke Henderson finishing 12th at 14-10.75.

Harried was fourth in the triple jump at 33-2.25, while Henderson placed sixth at 32-9 and Rebekah Rodgers 10th at 28-2.75.

Jael Harried finished sixth in the high jump at 4-8.

Chelsea McWhorter finished tied for eighth in the pole vault at 8-0.

Chloe McGooden was seventh in the 800-meter run at 2:35.24.

Kailey Pentz placed seventh in the 1,600-meter run at 6:18.31, while Bethany Mejia was 14th at 6:50.74.

Pentz was seventh in the 3,200-meter run at 14:03.10, while Mejia was 16th at 15:32.10.

Quincy Efurd placed ninth in the 300-meter hurdles at 51.82, while Rodgers was 12th at 52.65.

Efurd finished 11th in the 100-meter hurdles at 17.77, while McWhorter was 13th at 18.15 and Harried 18th at 18.74.

McWhorter finished 18th in the 400-meter dash at 1:10.84.

Henderson was 19th in the 200-meter dash at 30.05.

Henderson placed 24th in the 100-meter dash at 14.28.

The Lady Panthers' 4x800-meter relay team of McGooden, Rodgers, Efurd and Emma Hulbert placed second overall with a time of 10:34.32.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Efurd, Rodgers, Hulbert and Henderson placed eighth at 4:46.11.

Boys

The Siloam Springs boys finished 10th overall at the meet.

Fayetteville finished first with 128 points to sweep the entire event. Rogers was second at 115, followed by Bentonville West 87, Springdale Har-Ber 68, Bentonville High 56, Pea Ridge 54, Springdale 36, Gravette 35, Claremore (Okla.) 33, Siloam Springs 26 and Gentry 25.

Keondre Westbook placed third in the shot put with a throw of 44-6 with Fermin Velis in sixth at 43-3.5 and Kaiden Thrailkill 10th at 42-5.

Kolby Fesler was third in the discus with a throw of 138-4, while Westbrook was 15th at 112-3 and Velis 23rd at 99-10.

Keegan Soucie placed fifth in the high jump at 5-8.

Elijah Coffey placed eighth in the triple jump at 40-0.75, while Jacob Wakefield was 13th at 37-8.5.

Coffey finished eighth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.53.

Murphy Perkins was ninth in the 100-meter dash at 11.60, while Palvinson Phizema was 15th at 11.85 and Thrailkill 17th at 11.86.

Perkins placed 10th in the 200-meter dash at 23.52, with Chase Mills 15th at 24.17.

Michael Capehart was ninth in the 3,200-meter run at 10:27.68 with Ben Humphries 23rd at 13:52.63.

Capehart finished 12th in the 1,600-meter run at 4:54.67 with Samuel Granderson 25th at 5:16.85 and Ben Humphries 30th at 6:17.03.

Luke Markovich placed 21st in the 400-meter dash at 1:04.80.

Broc Hilburn was 23rd in the long jump at 12-6.

Adam Kennedy was 23rd in the 800-meter run at 2:23.24, while Tyler Sharp was 27th at 2:32.96.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Mills, Perkins, Thrailkill and Phizema finished fifth at 44.67.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Perkins, Wakefield, Mills and Soucie placed eighth at 4:06.86.

The Panthers' 4x800-meter relay team of Capehart, Kennedy, Granderson and Liam Scott finished with a time of 9:24.00.
