Mary Josephine 'Josie' Scism
Mary Josephine "Josie" Scism, 86, died March 2, 2019, in Jenks, Okla.
She was born June 10, 1932, in the Chance Community in Oklahoma to Tilman Buster Chance and Lou Ann Crowder Chance.
She married James Scism. She was a member of Baptist Mission Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister, Kathleen Hartshome; and a son-in-law, Jim Adair.
She is survived by her children, Tootie Adair of Stilwell, Okla., Linda Gray and husband Mike of Siloam Springs, Ark., Tabby Pike and husband Leroy of Jenks, Okla.; a sister, Wilma Williams of Westville, Okla.; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and several bonus grandchildren -- nieces and nephews who called her Grandma Josie.
Funeral services were March 6, 2019, at Baptist Mission Church in Westville with the Rev. Dwayne Driggers officiating. Burial was at Baptist Mission Cemetery in Westville.
Roberts & Hart Funeral Home of Westville was in charge of arrangements.
Billy Jack Williams Sr.
Billy Jack Williams Sr., 69, of Watts, Okla,, died March 7, 2019, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark.
He was born Aug. 12, 1949, in Siloam Springs, Ark., to W.M. Williams and Lila Mae Hammer Williams. He married Shirley Faye Dixon in 1973 and was a truck driver for Allen Canning. He served in the U.S. Marines.
He was preceded in death by his mother and wife.
He is survived by his sons, Billy Jack Williams Jr., of Westville, Okla., and Derick Williams of Westville; a grandson; his father, W.M. Williams of Westville; two brothers, Ricky Williams and Mike Williams both of Westville; and sisters, Carol Mallory, Nita Partain and Rita Fleig all of Westville.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Mountain View Freewill Baptist Church in Westville.
