The Siloam Springs baseball team will open 5A-West Conference play at 5 p.m. Thursday with a doubleheader against Beebe at James Butts Baseball Complex.
The twinbill was originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 13, but the threat of inclement weather pushed the games back to Thursday. The Panthers hope to reschedule the nonconference game against Lincoln, which was originally scheduled for Thursday, to another date later this season according to coach Alan Hardcastle.
The Siloam Springs baseball team is 1-5 overall. The Panthers lost their first two games to Gravette and Springdale before beating Gentry on March 1. Siloam Springs lost three games to Springdale Har-Ber, Rogers and Harrison last week in the Best Sports Classic.
The Panthers are scheduled to host Prairie Grove on Wednesday in a nonconference game at James Butts Baseball Park.
Softball
Siloam Springs' softball games against Beebe, originally scheduled for Tuesday, have been postponed to a date to be determined.
With the threat of severe weather on Tuesday, the two teams were originally going to try and play on Monday, but rain overnight and into Monday morning led to unplayable field conditions at La-Z-Boy Park.
The Lady Panthers are scheduled to host Gentry on Wednesday. The Lady Panthers lost to the Lady Pioneers 13-5 in the season opener.
Soccer
The Siloam Springs soccer teams are scheduled to play at Greenbrier on Thursday. Both teams were scheduled to host Alma on Tuesday in 5A-West Conference games at Panther Stadium. Results were not available at presstime.
