During the month of January, the Boys and Girls Club of Western Benton County received donations from the community to fill family packs for the families of children that have extended stays at Arkansas Children's Northwest located in Springdale, Ark.

Family packs are small bags filled with travel-size toiletries and necessities, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner to provide to families to ensure that parents don't have the stress of needing to go to the store while their child is in the hospital. Especially if it is an unexpected visit.

The children of Boys and Girls Club of Western Benton County assembled the family packs in February. Members and families of the after-school programs in Siloam Springs and Gentry donated enough supplies to fill about 60 bags, with an estimated price of about $700 in donations. Boys and Girls Club of Western Benton County is happy to partner with such a great organization and thankful for the help and support from the community.
