William "Bill" Barrett

William "Bill" Barrett, 74, of Gravette, Ark., died March 18, 2019, at Circle of Life at Legacy Village in Bentonville, Ark.

He was born Sept. 4, 1944, in Paoli, Kan., to James Barrett and Destia McCammon Barrett. He was a construction contractor and was a member of First Christian Church of Gravette.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy; and a sister, Dorthy Hudson.

He is survived by his life partner, Peggy Kelly of the home; two daughters, Robin Young and Leeanna Young both of Gravette; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clyde Barrett of Pryor, Okla., and Loyd Barrett of Gravette; and two sisters, Kathryn Ramirez, and Donna Anderson and husband Donnie, all of Gravette.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at First Christian Church in Gravette.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019, at First Christian Church in Gravette. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwassee, Ark.

Dorsie Lea Douthett

Dorsie Lea Douthett, 75, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died March 14, 2019, at her home.

She was born Nov. 24, 1943, in Clovis, N.M., to Loyd E. Thurman and Letha Helen Bernard Thurman. She married Richard Douthett on June 23, 1962, and was of the Baptist faith. She worked as a bank teller, homemaker and bus driver for the Siloam Springs School district.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her husband of the home; two sons, Craig Douthett and wife Dianne of Rogers, Ark., and Reese Douthett of Buffalo, Mo.; a daughter, Sonja Scott and husband Carl of Bella Vista, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her mother, Helen Thurman of Taylor, Ariz.; a brother, Jerry Thurman and wife Linda of Taylor; and a sister, Shelia Ingham of Peoria, Ariz.

A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2019, at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs.

David 'Red' Leon Suggs

David "Red" Leon Suggs, 66, died on March 6, 2019, in Shidler, Okla.

He was born on July 12, 1952, in Springfield, Mo., to Lawrence Russell Suggs and Matta Lou Suggs.

He was a lifetime resident of Watts, Okla., and retired from the city of Siloam Springs Sanitation Department after 21 years.

He is survived by three children, Tina Suggs of Gentry, Ark., Zachery Suggs and wife Jill of Shidler; and Kimberly Suggs of Watts; and five grandchildren.

A celebration of life memorial will be held for family and friends at noon Saturday, March 23, 2019, at 60382 S. Oklahoma Highway 59 in Watts.
