Junior high track competes in first meet

The Siloam Springs seventh- and eighth-grade track teams participated in their first meets of the season Monday at the NWA Middle School League meet at Springdale Har-Ber.

The seventh-grade and eighth-grade girls each finished fourth overall, while the seventh-grade boys finished sixth and the eighth-grade boys fifth.

Seventh-grade girls

Springdale Lakeside won the seventh-grade girls meet with 153 points, followed by Fayetteville Woodland 138, Springdale Central 88, Siloam Springs 77, Fayetteville Ramay 43, Springdale George 28, Don Tyson School of Innovation 25 and Springdale Southwest 8.

Jaylin Harried placed first in the long jump at 13 feet, 3 inches with Avery Speed taking ninth at 11-8.5 and Capri Ireland 14th at 10-2.

Speed finished second in the triple jump at 26-8 with Hansen placing fourth at 25-6.5.

Harried took third in the 200-meter dash at 29.75 seconds with Ruth Hansen in 16th at 33.01 and Speed 17th at 33.32.

Reese Sutulovich finished fourth in the discus at 48-4, with Emery Collette sixth at 45-9.75 and Britain Glenn 10th at 37-9.5.

Kaidence Prendergast placed fifth in the 100-meter dash at 14.62 with Ruth Hansen in eighth at 14.80 and Ireland 12th at 15.04.

Speed finished fifth in the 300-meter hurdles at 58.62.

Sutulovich placed sixth in the shot put at 24-7, with Collette in 10th at 21-6.5 and Madilyn Huffaker in 12th at 17-5.

In the 800-meter run, Caroline Dewey placed seventh at 3:07.03, while Annika Timboe placed eighth at 3:15.46 and Hailey Fox 10th at 3:21.15.

Estela Gonzalez finished seventh in the 1,600-meter run at 7:30.50.

Glenn finished ninth in the 400-meter dash at 1:20.54 with Mikayla Hill in 15th at 1:29.10.

Timboe placed 10th in the 100-meter hurdles at 22.52, with Harried placing 14th at 24.13.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Hansen, Harried, Ireland and Prendergast finished second at 58.92.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Hansen, Dewey, Speed and Timboe placed first at 5:12.57.

The 4x800-meter relay team of Dewey, Josselyn Amador, Fox and Timboe placed fourth at 13:27.70.

Eighth-grade girls

Fayetteville Woodland won the eighth-grade girls meet with 185.5 points, followed by Fayetteville Ramay 152, Springdale Central 139.5, Siloam Springs 39, Springdale Southwest 37, Springdale George 15, Springdale Lakeside 13, Don Tyson School of Innovation 6.

Keely Keener took first place in the shot put at 34-9.5, while Avah Duncan placed 12th at 21-9.5.

Keener finished second in the discus at 67-3.5, and Duncan placed ninth at 45-3.

Lexi Masters placed fifth in the pole vault at 5-6.

Masters placed eighth in the 100-meter dash at 14.04, with Sara Cobb in 12th at 15.07 and Abby Ballesteros 18th at 16.92.

Shelby Smith finished ninth in the 800-meter run at 2:58.18, with Avery Carter placing 13th at 3:11.70 and Natalie Ross in 15th at 3:25.77.

Lilian Wilkie placed ninth in the 300-meter hurdles at 1:04.25.

Smith placed 10th in the long jump at 11-1, while Hanna Valencia placed 13th at 9-6.5.

Smith finished 11th in the triple jump at 23-8.5, while Ross was 12th at 23-0 and Cobb 15th at 21-0.

Smith placed 12th in the 100-meter hurdles at 21.50 with Wilkie in 15th at 23.14

Faith Harris took 12th in the 1,600-meter run at 7:38.81 with Jimena Garcia in 14th at 7:43.31 and Valencia in 15th at 8:30.52.

Odelyis Fuentes placed 14th in the 200-meter dash at 35.95, while Abby Ballesteros was 15th at 36.33 and Katie Gonzalez 16th at 39.48.

Fuentes placed 16th in the 400-meter dash at 1:33.97 while Gonzalez was 17th at 1:42.36.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Cobb, Ballesteros, Fuentes and Masters placed fourth with a time of 1:01.86.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Smith, Masters, Cobb and Ross took fourth at 5:31.61.

The 4x800-meter relay team of Carter, Ross, Wilkie and Smith placed third at 12:53.35.

Seventh-grade boys

Fayetteville Ramay won the seventh-grade boys meet with 181 points, followed by Springdale Central 94, Springdale Lakeside 89, Fayetteville Woodland 63, Springdale George 61, Siloam Springs 38, Springdale Southwest 36 and Don Tyson School of Innovation 29.

Gio Flores took second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 21.14, with Parker Malonson in 18th at 29.06.

Jon Coffey placed third in the discus at 75-4.25 with Drew Claborn in fifth at 72-9.5 and Hugo Alamilla 16th at 50-9.5.

Mikey McKinley finished sixth in the 300-meter hurdles at 55.12 with Korbin Rogers in 15th at 1:01.47 and Timothy Haak in 17th at 1:01.73.

McKinley placed seventh in the long jump with a distance of 13-1.5, while Malonson was ninth at 12-6.5.

Flores finished eighth in the triple jump at 29-0, while Malonson was 10th at 26-5 and January 11th at 25-4.

Flores placed eighth in the 200-meter dash at 27.77, while Malachi January was 12th at 30.09.

Diego Palacios placed ninth in the 400-meter dash at 1:11.43, with Jacob Null in 16th at 1:20.21.

Coffey took 11th in the shot put at 24-8.5, while Claborn was 16th at 22-2 and Alamilla 18th at 18-11.

Haak finished 12th in the 800-meter run at 2:50.74 with Rogers in 20th at 3:09.17 and Ethan Foley in 23rd at 3:14.31.

In the 100-meter dash, McKinley finished 16th with a time of 13.80, while January was 17th at 14.14 and Tommy Seitz 20th at 15.23.

Foley placed 19th in the 1,600-meter run at 7:18.13 with Zane Pickering finishing 20th at 7:25.07 and Braylon Nation 21st at 8:44.28.

The 4x100-meter relay team of McKinley, January, Malonson and Flores placed fourth at 56.41.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Rogers, McKinley, Palacios and Haak took fourth at 4:55.81.

The 4x800-meter relay team of Rogers, Seitz, Jacob Seauve and Haak placed seventh at 11:45.85.

Eighth-grade boys

Springdale Central won the eighth-grade boys meet with 152.5 points, followed by Fayetteville Ramay 144.83, Fayetteville Woodland 118, Springdale Southwest 74, Siloam Springs 53.66, Springdale George 48, Springdale Lakeside 20 and Don Tyson School of Innovation 8.

Noah Race placed second in the discus at 102-6.75, with Conner Mitchell in seventh at 90-0, and Noah Beyers 22nd at 61-0.75.

Silas Tugwell placed third in the triple jump at 34-0.5, while Cayden Hansen was 11th at 30-6.

Jed Derwin took third in the shot put at 35-7 with Dennis Overbey in seventh at 32-0 and Beyers 14th at 27-11.

Tugwell finished fourth in the high jump with a mark of 4-10.

Tugwell placed sixth in the 300-meter hurdles at 50.49, with Charlie Hyde placing ninth at 51.51 and Grayson Manning 11th at 52.32.

Tyler Cottrell placed seventh in the 400-meter dash at 1:01.03 with Rafeal Dominguez in 17th at 1:09.05 and Hansen 20th at 1:10.83.

Manning placed seventh in the long jump at 15-3.5, while Hansen was 10th at 14-6

Devlin Husong and Cooper Church tied for eighth in the pole vault at 6-0, while Mitchell was 11th at 5-0.

Tugwell finished eighth in the 110-meter hurdles at 20.66 with River Ward in 18th at 27.16.

Derwin placed 15th in the 100-meter dash at 12.73, with Husong 19th at 13.49 and Ivan Parra 20th at 14.16.

Jason Courtney placed 10th in the 200-meter dash at 27.38, with Jadon Gill in 17th at 28.68 and Alberto Olivas 18th at 33.22.

Jared Brewer finished 12th in the 800-meter run at 2:40.55, while Church was 18th at 3:00.08 and Caleb Wallace 19th at 3:10.40.

Reese Hardcastle placed 16th in the 1,600-meter run at 6:29.73, with Ezekiel Becan in 19th at 7:02.32 and Collin Harrison 21st at 8:02.82.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Husong, Tugwell, Jason Courtney and Derwin placed second at 51.42.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Hansen, Tugwell, Cottrell and Manning finished fifth at 4:30.74.

The 4x800-meter relay team of Hansen, Brewer, Hyde and Cottrell placed fourth at 10:36.63.
