Tommy Wayne Calkins

Tommy Wayne Calkins, 55, of Gentry, Arkansas, died February 27, 2021, at his home. He was born November 7, 1965, in Fort Collins, Colorado. Tommy had worked for Pipelife and was also a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Rankin.

Survivors include his children, Mikala Womack and husband Ryan of Gentry, Arkansas, and Blake Calkins and wife Alicia of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; his parents, Beth and David Calkins of Gentry, Arkansas; grandchildren, Makena, Josie, Hadley, Brighton and Peter; his siblings, Donna Houston of Oregon, Rick Brown and wife Linda of Mandeville, Louisiana, Rhonda Calkins of Lowell, Arkansas, James Rankin of Gravette, Arkansas, Valerie Harvey and husband Michael of Springfield, Missouri, Tonja Cullipher and husband Joseph of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and Taria Hannold and husband Brent of Gentry, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Burial will be at Decatur Cemetery, Decatur, Arkansas. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2021, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. For the visitation and funeral services, everyone will be required to wear their own facemask, per the guidelines set forth by the State of Arkansas.

Linda Faye Dorsey

Linda Faye Dorsey, 72, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas died February 27, 2021, at her home.

She was born February 11, 1949, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas to Delph Denton Walker and Anna Geneva Moore Walker. Linda married Charles Dorsey on May 29, 1969, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She worked for Franklin Electric in production for 35 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church Siloam Springs.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Harold, Joseph, Robert and Carl Walker, sister Wilma Watkins, her husband Charlie and son Ross.

Survivors include her children John Dorsey of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and Audrie Dorsey of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; daughter-in-law Tammi Dorsey of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; grandchildren Hunter, Madi, Hailey, Jonathan and Andrew; great-grandchildren Nico, Luke and Adam; brother Dale Walker of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; and sister Helen Potter of Michigan.

Betty Jolene Hightower

Betty Jolene Hightower died March 1, 2021, at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 91.

She was born June 2, 1929, in Stella, Missouri to Cecil Schulyer Cullers and Bessie Inez McMurty Cullers.

Jolene was preceded in death by daughter, Debra Davenport; husband, Francis Eugene Jenison; and son, Douglas Jenison.

She is survived by her husband, Wilford J Hightower; daughters, Donna Jo Davenport, Dr. Mary B. Gunter and Dr. Becky Shopfner; son, Andrew N. Jenison and fiancé Rocio Aquilera; grandson, Andrew E. Jenison and wife Emily; grandson, Jason Crittenden; and many close, loving friends.

Jolene became a Christian at an early age and spent most of her life active in various ministries, including Women Alive. She was an ordained minister through the Assembly of God Church, and preached in many places. Even in later years as her health deteriorated, she continued to minister locally through counseling, teaching, praying, and encouraging in the Lord. She also led many souls to Christ through her love of the Lord.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Bro. Wayne Thomas officiating. The family would like to thank the wonderful caretakers at Willard Walker Hospice for their loving care at the end of Jolene’s life. In lieu of flowers, a contribution in her name to this facility might be considered.

Helen (Camfield) Smith

Helen (Camfield) Smith died Feb. 20, 2021, at Arbor Rose Assisted Living in Charleston, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Chris Camfield, long-time residents of Siloam Springs; and brother David Camfield and wife Helen Sue (Haxel) Camfield.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Smith; one daughter, Dr. Kris Guliuzza; one son, Jerry Koontz; and their families.

A celebration of life took place on March 2 at Schillings Funeral Home in Mattoon, Ill.
