LETTER: Christian Theocrats

Christian Theocrats have adopted the term "Christian Nationalist" as a statement of pride. Many wear T-shirts which display the label "Proud Christian Nationalist" without realizing that it is an anti-Christian label. Amazon's price -- $13.98.

Jesus clearly refutes the idea that he came into the world to establish a theocracy anywhere on earth during this age. All the authors of the New Testament agree, there is to be no Christian nation before Jesus returns.

Jesus, "My kingdom is not of this world, ...but now my kingdom is not from here." John 18:36 NKJV.

Jesus did not judge unbelievers (John 12:48). Christians are commanded to judge sinners inside the Church (Matthew 18:15-17) and commanded not to usurp God's authority by judging people outside the Church. (For now). 1 Corinthians 5:12-13.

When Satan offered to give Jesus all the kingdoms of the world (Luke 4:5-7), Jesus turned him down. He was not stupid; taking possession of any, or even all, the individual kingdoms would still leave Satan in charge of the kingdom of the world. That is Satan's plan, not God's.

According to the book of Revelation, God will create a new heaven and a new earth. Then Satan will be deposed and confined to the lake of fire and Jesus will rule the kingdom of the world forever (Revelation 11:15), true Christians will serve in that world kingdom (or government) as kings and priests (Revelation 1:6 and 5:10), judges (1 Corinthians 6:2-5), and mayors of cities (Luke 19:17-19).

I am aware of a few exceptionally good Christians here in Siloam Springs. They have signed the Christians Against Christian Nationalism Statement. Google it, see who signed it.

Unlike many leaders of the theocrats who have no moral scruple against lying, and demonize the Democratic Party as Godless, Communists, Socialists, Atheists, etc., these Christians simply advocate for the true biblical definition of followers of Christ and the world's first secular Constitution.

They denounce the violence, intimidation, vandalism, death threats, arson, hate crimes, and attacks on houses of worship, inspired by Christian Nationalism, but they do not demonize the Republican Party nor claim that Christians associated with Nationalism have "sold their souls to the devil."

They do not flaunt superiority over other religions or the nonreligious but exemplify peace and persuasion, not compulsion.

The founding fathers' dream, a multicultural society living in peace together!
