Earl Dean Brazil

Earl Dean Brazil, 68-year-old resident of Colcord, Oklahoma, died August 7, 2022, in Colcord, Oklahoma. He was born on December 19, 1953, to Carson Ray Brazil and Alice Bertha Brazil in West Covina, California. Earl lived in the Colcord Community for sixty years. He loved Oklahoma and Colcord football and Arkansas women's basketball. Earl enjoyed hunting and fishing. He spent many years working at Brand Rex and Franklin Electric, where he was the first there, and the last to leave, he never missed a day.

He is preceded in death by his father, Carson Ray Brazil, paternal grandparents, Clarence Emmitt and Ruby Blanche, and his maternal grandparents, Raymond Anglin and Opal Anglin.

He is survived by his mother, Alice Bertha Brazil of Colcord, Oklahoma; two sons, Jeff Brazil and wife Sheri of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Michael Brazil and wife Celeste of Farmington, Arkansas; one grandson, Karson Brazil; three brothers, Jerry Brazil of Colcord, Oklahoma, Bill Brazil of Colcord, Oklahoma, and Tom Brazil and wife Debbie of Colcord, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carla Jo Hudson-McKay

Carla Jo Hudson-McKay, 61, of Watts, Okla., died Aug. 9, 2022, at her home.

She was born May 17, 1961, in Arcata, Calif., to Jack Parris and Helena (Harper) Parris.

She is preceded in death by her father and her sister Melissa Parris.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Kimball, of the home; her mother, Helena Harper, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; her daughter, Crissy Wanbaugh, of Watts; sister, Jacqueline Clardy, of Watts; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4-6 p.m. Aug. 14, 2022, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, 2022, at Wasson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery in Allen, Okla.

Marion Lee Smith

Lee Smith born February 10, 1953, passed away at his home in Siloam Springs on August 7, 2022. Lee recently moved to Siloam Springs, AR, from Beldenville, WI, after retiring from the US Postal Service and Dakota County CDA.

Lee is the youngest child of Billie Jean (Burke) Smith and Henry Coleman Smith. Lee is proud of his Osage County Oklahoma roots as the family lived in the oilfield town of Carter Nine and his father worked for Skelly Oil company. Later the family moved to Sweetwater Texas where Lee graduated from Sweetwater High School Class of 1971.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Billie Smith, brothers John Smith, William (Bill) Smith, Alan Smith and sisters Colene Long, her husband Bill Long, Alice Head, Elaine Barth, her husband Elmer Barth, and Margaret Connor. He is survived by his wife Anne McAlpine, sons Cullan Smith and his family Cassie Haskins, Quentyn Haskins and Cillian Smith, Shane Smith and his wife Margaret (Maggie) Sippel Smith. Also, by his brothers Joe Smith, Ray Smith and many nieces, nephews and their children.
