Freshman volleyball off to 0-2 start

The Siloam Springs ninth-grade volleyball team dropped its second game of the season Tuesday in a 25-9, 25-16 loss to Rogers at the Panther Activity Center.

Allie Bowman had one kill for Siloam Springs (0-2), while Elise Scarbrough had one block.

The Lady Panthers also played their season-opener on Monday and lost 25-19, 25-17 to Bentonville Gold.

Chloe Price had three aces in that match, while Bowman had two kills and one block.

The eighth-grade team defeated Rogers Elmwood 25-19, 25-11 on Tuesday. Alexis Roach had four kills, while Makenna Pinkerton had four aces and one kill. Annabelle VanAsche had three aces.

The eighth-grade team improved to 1-1 overall. They lost to Bentonville Lincoln 25-17, 26-24 on Monday.

Both Siloam Springs teams will return to action on Tuesday against Fort Smith Trinity. Both teams will then host Bentonville Black/Washington on Wednesday.
