Someone new will sit in the Ward 3 seat of the Board of Directors next year.

Director Ken Krafft did not file for his position. Filing deadline was noon Thursday.

Krafft said he believes in term limits for the federal, state and municipal levels.

"Our government from top to bottom needs to have term limits," he said.

He said his intent was to serve one or two terms on the board. He also said a possible job change could take attention from his position on the board. The change could require more travel.

Krafft said he's not completely dismissing running for an at-large seat in two years.

"I enjoyed the opportunity," he said.

He said he's spoken to both candidates, and they have his support. Frank Johnson and David VanSandt are the Ward 3 candidates.

Krafft was elected to the seat in November 2010. His first meeting as director was Jan. 4, 2011. His term will expire at the end of this year.
