Marty Boone, the Balloonman, will come to the library for a show at 11 a.m. Tuesday as part of the summer reading program.

Boone of Conway will perform magic, make balloons and possibly have a ventriloquism puppet in a 45-minute show at the Public Library on University Street.

He also plans to play a competitive game in which attendees can take part. It will be a mummy game with a boys' team and a girls' team where they will wrap someone up in toilet paper in 30 seconds.

Boone has been performing as the Balloonman for 22 years. He's performed black-tie events to Star Trek and Star Wars conventions.

"It's all good, and it's fun," he said.

This will be his first time to the library here, but he's been to the city before.

Typically, his shows are throughout Arkansas, but sometimes he goes to Tennessee or Missouri.

"I always make sure kids get a balloon when I'm done," Boone said.
