Stabbing victim won't ID suspect

Police continue to seek a suspect who stabbed a 47-year-old man at Heritage Heights apartments Monday evening.

The suspect allegedly went to the man's residence to obtain prescription drugs from him, according to information from Holland Hayden, city communication manager.

"While at the residence, the subject and victim began arguing, and the stabbing occurred," Hayden said. "Based on information obtained by detectives, it is believed the subject and the victim are acquainted with each other. At this time the victim has not named a suspect."

At 7:09 p.m. Monday, someone reported a stabbing at 1255 W. Tulsa St., Apt 22B.

The resident, Arthur E. Belyeu, had multiple stab wounds to the abdomen and arm, according to information from Hayden. Witnesses said an unknown white man was at the apartment and "had a confrontation" with Belyeu before the stabbing.

Paramedics of Siloam Springs Fire Department treated the victim at the scene and transported him to Northwest Medical Center in Springdale.

As of Friday evening an arrest had yet to be made.
