Ninth grade girls finish third at Springdale Central

SPRINGDALE -- The Siloam Springs ninth-grade girls cross country team finished fourth overall at the Springdale Central Warrior Cross Country Invitational held Saturday.

The Lady Panthers scored 78 points, coming in behind host Springdale Central 43, Fayetteville Ramay 74 and Bentonville Black 77. The Lady Panthers finished ahead of Fayetteville Woodland 96 and Springdale George 137.

The meet was broken up into four divisions: ninth-grade girls, ninth-grade boys, seventh- and eighth-grade girls and seventh- and eighth-grade boys.

Caroline Farine finished third overall with a time of 13 minutes, 54.29 seconds.

Allika Pearson came in ninth at 14:24.48, while Avery Headrick was 14th at 14:40.88.

Lin Lampton placed 20th overall with a time of 15:15.45, and Natalie Mathe rounded out the Lady Panthers' scoring with a time of 17:33.05.

Ninth-grade boys

Siloam Springs only had two boys compete in the ninth-grade boys race, so was unable to field a team score.

Isaac Leachman finished 14th overall with a time of 12:05.65.

Ben Davis placed 23rd at 12:27.73.

Rogers won the ninth-grade boys race with a score of 44 points, followed by Springdale Central 47, Bentonville Black 64, Fayetteville Woodland 100, Springdale George 162, Springdale Southwest 191, Fayetteville Ramay 198, Springdale Lakeside 208 and Bentonville Gold 219.

Seventh- and eighth-grade girls

Siloam Springs scored 49 points to finish first overall in the seventh- and eighth-grade girls division.

Bentonville Lincoln was second with 60 points, followed by Springdale Central 71, War Eagle 113, Rogers Kirksey 124, Bentonville Washington 137, Rogers Elmwood 167, Springdale Southwest 239, Springdale George 259 and Fayetteville Ramay 263.

Chloe McGooden finished third overall for the Lady Panthers with a time of 13:28.77.

Lily Slater finished 10th with a time of 14:05.46, while Rebekah Rodgers came in right behind her at 14:10.17 for 11th place.

Kimberly Guillen placed 14th overall at 14:18.41, while Brooklyn Shreve placed 17th at 14:31.12.

Candy Dubon finished 23rd with a mark of 14:42.28, and Rachel Conrad was 38th at 15:25.79.

Also running for Siloam Springs were Kailey Pentz (15:30.16), Vivian Schochler (15:44.41), Olivia Lasater (16:13.78), Sydney Houston (16:16.87), Silvia Ramirez (16:25.13), Katie Bishop (16:51.54), Anne Boyd (17:06.96) and Mary Grace Green (17:17.49).

Seventh- and eighth-grade boys

Siloam Springs finished ninth overall with a score of 173 in the seventh- and eighth-grade boys race.

St. Vincent De Paul placed first with 18 points, followed by St. Joseph Catholic 37, War Eagle 85, Bentonville Lincoln 86, Fayetteville Ramay 89, Fayetteville Woodland 100, Springdale Central 118 and Bentonville Washington 141. Springdale George finished 10th at 175, ahead of Rogers Kirksey 192, Springdale Lakeside 295, Springdale Southwest 316 and Rogers Elmwood 379.

Kerrig Kelly led the Panthers with a 16th place finish of 12:25.20, immediately followed by Ethan Davis in 17th place at 12:25.43.

Samuel Granderson placed 33rd with a time of 13:06.99, while Landon Cottrell was 56th at 13:36.52.

Lee Thompson placed 66th at 13:44.18, while Oliver Reid was 79th at 13:59.48 and Chase Callahan 83rd at 14:09.74.

Also running for Siloam Springs were Thomas Bridgeman (14:29.14), Blaise Becan (14:35.90), Chase Mills (14:36.97), Jake Gill (15:06.53), Luke Markovich (15:11.81), Logan McLeod (15:23.08), Lincoln Myers (15:25.48), Nathaniel Johnson (16:06.74), Tyler Sharp (16:14.89), Dillon McKinley (16:20.86), Kaden Reed (17:21.05), Jacob Brown (17:49.01), Austin Race (18:22.44) and Adam Kennedy (18:37.33).
