Julius Demetri (J.D.) Brandon

July 25, 2015, 12:36 p.m. -- July 25, 2015, 1:10 p.m.

Just 34 minutes after coming into the world, Julius Demetri (J.D.) passed away peacefully in his Daddy's arms while his Pastor Tim Estes prayed over them at UAMS in Little Rock, Ark. During that fleeting time, he touched many lives and was loved by all who met him and followed his journey.

Born six weeks early and weighing only 5 pounds, 0 ounces and 18 ½ inches in length. J.D. was still able to show and be shown love. He was deeply loved by his parents and siblings. He had soft light-red hair, the softest skin his family had ever felt and the purest smell they have ever smelt. Julius was diagnosed with Trisomy 13. His family refused to let that define the life he would have. They chose to give him life and show him love no matter how much time they had with him. He was born at 12:36 p.m. on July 25 and died the same day at 1:10 p.m.

Julius joins his maternal great- grandfather, Howard Curry; maternal great-grandfather, Julius Johnston; maternal great-grandmother, Margie Lappin; paternal great-grandparents, George and Ruby Sanford; and paternal great-grandparents, Owen and Mavis Brandon in Heaven.

Julius is survived by his father and mother, Edward and Deserae Brandon; his brothers, Noah Somers and Ethan Brandon; his sisters, Carissa Brandon, Zoraya Brandon and Meghana Brandon; his grandparents, David and Joan Brandon; his grandfather, David Johnston; his grandparents, James and Sherri Nimtz; his great-grandmother, Vivian Curry; his aunts, Lorri (Bill) Patrick, Kim Wegner, Heather Watford; his uncle, Travis (Tabbitha) Johnston; cousins, Hailey, Kayton, Skylurr, Holly, Carter, Kellan and Gracie.

A memorial service will take place at New Life Church at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015. The family asks for plants, flowers, angel or turtle figurines that can be planted in a memorial garden they will create for Juluis at home. Donations can be made to New Life Church, 1611 Cheri Whitlock, Siloam Springs, AR 72761, in benevolence for the Brandon Family. To sign the online guest book, visit www.wassonfuneralhome.com.
