Eighth-grade boys defeat Rogers Elmwood

The Siloam Springs eighth-grade boys picked up a 36-30 win Thursday against Rogers Elmwood inside the Panther Den.

The Panthers (2-1) trailed 18-10 at halftime, but they outscored the Raiders 26-12 in the second half to rally for the win.

Thad Wright led Siloam Springs with eight points, while Drew Vachon and Jordan Stewart each added six, Evan Sauer five, Ransom Van Asche four, Gage Weaver three and Carson Wleklinski two.

The Siloam Springs eighth-grade girls dropped to 2-1 on the season with a 41-25 loss to Rogers Elmwood in the Panther Den on Thursday night.

Elmwood led 7-4 after the first quarter and 20-15 at halftime. The Lady Raiders took a 32-19 lead going into the fourth quarter.

London Hatch led Elmwood with 20 points.

Maddie Vaughan led Siloam Springs with eight points, while Morgan Winesburg had six, Madison Pharr four, Shelby Johnson three, Jael Harried two and Kacey Pettit and Brooke Henderson each with one.

Up next

Both Siloam Springs eighth-grade teams play at Fayetteville Ramay on Thursday, beginning with the girls game at 5:30 p.m., followed by the boys at 6:45.

The eighth-grade teams were originally supposed to play at Springdale Southwest on Monday, however those games have been moved to Jan. 20.
