Tyson edges seventh-grade boys

SPRINGDALE -- The Siloam Springs seventh-grade boys basketball team lost 40-36 to Springdale Tyson on Monday at Springdale Southwest.

The Panthers dropped to 2-2 on the season.

Camden Collins led the Panthers with 14 points, while Landon Ward had 13, Trey Whorton five and Hunter Dorsey and Cole Ellis with two each.

Seventh-grade girls

The seventh-grade girls defeated Springdale Tyson 35-8 and improved to 4-0 on the season.

The Lady Panthers led 9-3 after the first quarter and 17-3 at halftime. Siloam Springs took a 31-6 lead into the fourth quarter.

Mia Hevener and Madi Race led the Lady Panthers with eight points each, while Julia Jackson scored seven, Jaedyn Soucie four, Faith Howie, Jadyn Still and Hattie Price each with two and Sydney Moorman and Micah Curry each with one.

The teams return to action Wednesday at Farmington.
