The original end date of the Class 6A State Tournament wound up being the actual start date.
Winter weather in Northwest Arkansas and across the state backed up the start of the Class 6A basketball tournament in Siloam Springs to 1 p.m. Saturday. Results of Saturday's games were not available at presstime.
The tournament was supposed to begin on Wednesday and conclude on Saturday night. It was delayed three days in a row because of hazardous travel conditions for teams across the state.
With the delays, the Siloam Springs basketball teams are now scheduled to play today.
The Siloam Springs girls play Pine Bluff at 1 p.m., followed by the Siloam Springs boys against Little Rock Hall at 2:30 p.m.
