Doris E. Carroll

Doris E. Carroll, 97, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Thursday, March 19, 2015, at the Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville, Ark.

She was born on Nov. 10, 1917, in Carter County, Okla., to Jess Everett and Edna Jane Black Everett.

She married Hoyt Carroll on Nov. 22, 1933, in Lovington, N.M. She worked in the Brown & Root shipyards in Houston during World War II and then assisted her husband in several different business adventures through their lives, including being a minister's wife and helpmate. She was a member of Harvard Avenue Baptist Church in Siloam Springs and enjoyed attending the lunches of the J.O.Y. Group. She was an avid reader, liked playing dominoes and was adamant about staying very active.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2004.

She is survived by two daughters, Eloise Valouch of Noble, Okla., and Janice Stellmon of Siloam Springs; one son, Bill Carroll of Mustang, Okla.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2015,at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tad Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity.

Connie Wilmoth Bland

Connie Wilmoth Bland, 65 -year-old resident of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died March 11, 2015, at Regency Hospital in Springdale, Arkansas. Born December 10, 1949 in Siloam Springs, she was the daughter of Leonard Wilmoth and Frances Ollene Lane Wilmoth. Connie was a lifetime resident of Northwest Arkansas. She worked many years at McKee Foods and for the 112 Drive-In Movie Theater.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, James Bland; and one sister.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse Belyeu of the home; two brothers, Larry Raynor of Decatur, Arkansas and Monty Wilmoth; two sisters, Jo Anne Capps of Gentry, Arkansas and Loretta Philpott of Gentry; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Falling Springs Church, Decatur, Arkansas.

Monica Leeshelle McLeland

Monica Leeshelle McLeland, 43, of Gentry, Ark., died Sunday, March 15, 2015, at her home.

She was born Nov. 22, 1971, in Blytheville, Ark., to William Reese and Martha King.

She married Kevin Dennis McLeland. She worked as a daycare provider, she enjoyed taking care of animals and enjoyed the outdoors such as cookouts and fireworks shows.

She is survived by her husband; four children, Matthew McLeland of Modesto, Calif., Megan McLeland of Modesto, Brittany Berry of Centerton, Ark., and Brandon Caleb Cooper of Siloam Springs, Ark.; three grandchildren; her mother, Martha Jane King of Highfill, Ark.; her father, William Earl Reese of Steele, Mo.; and two brothers, Arron Scott Reese of Highfill and David Robert McCord of Lowell, Ark.
