BENTONVILLE -- The Siloam Springs ninth-grade volleyball team dropped its first Northwest Arkansas Conference match of the season Monday 2-1 against Bentonville Gold.
The Lady Tigers won the first match 25-15, but the Lady Panthers responded with a 25-21 win in game two. Gold took the match with a 16-14 win in game three.
McKenzie Blanchard and Reigan Brown each had three kills for the Lady Panthers (4-7, 0-1), while Annabelle Van Asche had three aces.
Siloam Springs lost the eighth-grade game to Bentonville Fulbright 25-15, 25-12. Madi Vaughn led the Lady Panthers (3-7) with three kills.
Both teams returned to action on Tuesday at home as the eighth-graders hosted Rogers Kirksey and the ninth-graders played Rogers High. Results were not available at presstime.
The ninth-graders play Saturday in the Fort Smith Invitational.
