WEST PLAINS, Mo. -- The Siloam Springs girls soccer team was unable to successfully defend its tournament championship in West Plains, Mo.
The Lady Panthers (9-6-1) were defeated 1-0 on Saturday by Rolla (Mo.) in the semifinals, and then lost to Jonesboro-based Valley View 2-1 in the third place game of the Zizzer Soccer Classic.
Junior Maycee Lance scored unassisted for the Lady Panthers' only goal.

Both Siloam Springs teams host Greenwood on Friday in a pair of important 7A/6A-Central Conference games among 6A teams. The boys game is scheduled for 6 p.m. followed by the girls game at 7:45 p.m.
