Dads and daughters have a chance to hit the dance floor this weekend. The Siloam Springs Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the annual Daddy/Daughter Dance this weekend.

This year, the event is split into three different sections over two nights.

On Friday, Feb. 5, there will be a dance from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for girls in fourth grade and younger and their fathers. Dads and daughters in that age group will have another chance to dance the next day if the Friday date doesn't work for them.

On Saturday, the dancing starts at 3 p.m. with the second session for fourth grade and younger and goes to 5 p.m. Girls in fifth grade and over will get their chance after that with a dance from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The dance will be held at the Community Building on North Mount Olive Street. Tickets are $15 for one dad and up to two daughters. Tickets can be purchased for additional daughters at $5 each.

The ticket sales will end on Friday at 5 p.m. and there will be no sales at the door, so tickets will need to be purchased in advance. Tickets for the Friday night dance sold out late Monday, but there were still tickets available for both Saturday dances as of press time.

The dance will include a DJ, snacks and a balloon drop near the end.
