Seventh-grade teams play at Zion

STILWELL, Okla. -- The Siloam Springs seventh-grade girls lost to Zion (Okla.) on Monday when Zion hit a deep, contested 3-point shot as time expired.

The Lady Panthers led 11-10 after the first quarter and were tied 17-17 at halftime.

Siloam Springs took a 29-28 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Jadyn Still led the Lady Panthers with 15 points, while Julia Jackson had seven. Riley Carr, Micah Curry and Makenna Thomas each scored four, while Sydney Moorman had two.

The Lady Panthers played twice last week, losing to Gentry 35-30 in overtime on Jan. 27. Still led with 10 points, while Jackson had eight, Curry six, Mia Hevener four and Madi Race with two.

The Lady Panthers defeated Shiloh Christian 41-15 on Jan. 28. Still led with 12 points, while Hevener had eight, Curry seven, Jackson six, and Moorman, Thomas, Carr and Price each with two.

In the B game, Siloam White won 9-7 with Faith Howie scoring the game winner with 26 seconds left. Jordan Rush scored three points, while Maggie Torres, Camryn Kendrick and Howie each had two.

Boys

The seventh-grade boys defeated Zion 34-32.

Landon Ward led the Panthers with 24 points, while Solomon Hufford had seven, Camden Collins two and Trey Whorton one.

Up next

The seventh-grade teams finish the season at Maryetta, Okla., on Wednesday. The girls game is set for 3:30 p.m., followed by the boys game at 4:30 p.m.
