Seventh-grade basketball sweeps Farmington

The Siloam Springs Maroon seventh-grade boys basketball team ended Farmington's unbeaten start to the season with a 38-34 victory on Wednesday.

Landon Ward led the Panthers with 21 points, while Jackson Ford had five points, Camden Collins four points, Soloman Hufford and Noah Geyer three points and Max Perkins with two points.

Farmington defeated Siloam Springs White 18-14 in the "B" game.

Brock Soderquist led the Panthers with 12 points, while Cole Ellis had two points.

Girls

The Siloam Springs Maroon seventh-grade girls basketball team also beat an undefeated Farmington squad 32-27.

The Lady Panthers (8-3) trailed 18-12 at halftime, but pulled within 23-20 going into the fourth quarter and outscored the Lady Cardinals 12-4 in the fourth quarter.

Mia Hevener led Siloam Springs with 12 points, while Sydney Moorman had nine, Julia Jackson seven and Riley Carr and Micah Curry each with two.

Siloam Springs White also beat Farmington 14-12. Jordan Rush led with four points, while Quincy Efurd, Jaedyn Soucie, Maggie Torres, Faith Howie and Hattie Price each had two.

Up next

The seventh-grade teams host Maryetta, Okla., on Thursday. The girls play at 4:30 p.m. while the boys play at 5:30 p.m.
