Siloam Springs High School recently announced plans for the 2016 Basketball Homecoming and spirit week.

Homecoming ceremonies will be held on Jan. 29 in the Panther Activity Center, according to teacher Cindy Stinnett. A pep-rally will be held at 2 p.m. and coronation will be held at 5:30 p.m. before the games against the Bryant Hornets, she said.

This year's homecoming court consists of 20 maids and their escorts. The court includes 15 senior maids, three junior maids and two sophomore maids. Homecoming captains are Kyle Snavely and Kyle Comisky. The senior maid who recieves the most student votes will be crowned during the assembly, Stinnett said.

The student council has chosen a theme of "Winter Wonderland" for spirit week and planned plenty of activities and dress-up days leading up to event, according to Kaylie Robertson, student council sponsor.

Students will get the chance to dress up for pajama day on Monday, denim day on Tuesday, dress like a snowman day on Wednesday and class color day on Thursday. They will wear their homecoming t-shirts or Panther pit shirts on Friday to be ready to cheer on the Panthers. Homecoming court members will also be dressed up on Thursday, Robertson said.

After the coronation at 5:30 p.m., the Siloam Springs boys will take on Bryant at 6 p.m., followed by the girls game at 7:30 p.m.
