JBU's Business College hosts Global Leadership Summit simulcast

John Brown University's Soderquist College of Business will host The Global Leadership Summit simulcast Aug. 11 and 12 as one of three host sites in Arkansas.

The Global Leadership Summit, telecast from Willow Creek Community Church in Illinois to locations nationally, equips attendees with inspiration, practical skills and visions to become a better leader. The Summit features a diverse speaker lineup including Patrick Lencioni, author; Bill Hybels, founder of The Summit and senior pastor of Willow Creek Community Church; Melinda Gates, co-founder of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; and Bishop T.D. Jakes, pastor, author and filmmaker.

"JBU encourages the local community to invest in their professional development," said Kai Togami, head of graduate business programs at the Soderquist College of Business. "The Summit is a great opportunity for them grow their capabilities as leaders conveniently and affordably."

The Summit's key themes include executing ideas, accelerating teamwork, navigating effectively through cultural differences, harnessing the power of emotional intelligence, advising successful turnarounds and building cultures that value efficiencies.

"We live in a world of powerful ideas," said Hybels. "The Summit team purposefully selects faculty who offer different perspectives. We best serve leaders by expanding their learning bandwidths."
