Junior high girls take sixth in Rogers

ROGERS -- The Siloam Springs junior high girls cross country team finished sixth on Tuesday at the Rogers Mountaineer Classic, which doubled as the 7A-West Conference Meet at Rogers High School.

The meet was also the final junior high only meet of the season and was run mostly by ninth-graders along with a select group of eighth-graders and seventh-graders.

Bentonville finished first with 52 points, followed by Springdale Central 99, Rogers 100, Bentonville West 119, Rogers Heritage 134, Siloam Springs 155, Fayetteville White 156, Fayetteville Purple 158, Fayetteville Woodland 217, Fayetteville Ramay 311, Springdale Southwest 329, Springdale Lakeside 364, Springdale George 408, St. Vincent De Paul 411, The New School 412, Haas Hall 449 and Arkansas Arts 512.

Sydney Moorman led the Lady Panthers with a 13th-place finish of 13 minutes, 6.70 seconds.

Rebekah Rodgers finished 24th at 13:32.30, while Kailey Pentz was 29th at 13:46.00 and Jacilyn Weilnah 45th at 14:07.50

Hannah Glass finished 54th at 14:22.60, while Shayla Conley was 63rd at 14:33.40 and Lilly Cole 64th at 14:33.70 to round out Siloam Springs' top scorers.

Brooke Price ran a 14:44.20, while Claudia Mercado finished in 15:01.30, Abby Thompson 15:02.30, Bethany Mejia 15:26.30 and Reanna Holmes 15:32.20.

Boys

Siloam Springs finished 10th in the junior high boys race.

Bentonville was first with 42 points, followed by Springdale Central 65, Rogers 101, Fayetteville White 146, Rogers Heritage 146, Fayetteville Purple 156, Springdale Lakeside 231, Springdale Southwest 233, Green Forest 254, Siloam Springs 274, Fayetteville Woodland 314, Bentonville West 316, Springdale George 342, Fayetteville Ramay 450, Greenland 457, The New School 490, Haas Hall 510, St. Vincent De Paul 519, Arkansas Arts 583 and Northwest Arkansas Classical Academy 620.

Michael Capehart led the Panthers with a 47th-place finish of 11:52.30, while Isaac Price was 56h at 11:58.60.

Yanni Trinidad was 70th at 12:12.30, followed by Blake Morrison 89th at 12:25.10, Adam Kennedy 107th at 12:37.90, Chase Mills 126th at 12:52.30 and Jordyn Baskins 149th at 13:07.7 to round out the Lady Panthers' top seven scores.

Tyler Sharp ran a 13:07.80, followed by Andy Almanza 13:09.00, Javier Chavez 13:10.60, Jason Flores 13:14.20, Blaise Becan 13:55.30, Dakota Collette 13:57.30 and Tate Broquard 14:08.80.
