Ninth-grade girls pick up win against Lakeside

The Siloam Springs ninth-grade girls picked up a 48-26 victory over Springdale Lakeside on Thursday night inside the Panther Activity Center.

The game was tied 8-8 after the first quarter and the Lady Panthers took an 18-13 lead at halftime.

Siloam Springs (9-3) extended that margin to 30-20 going into the fourth quarter, where the Lady Panthers outscored Lakeside 18-6.

Jadyn Still led Siloam Springs with 15 points, while Mia Hevener had 12, Makenna Thomas six, Julia Jackson five, Sydney Moorman and Quincy Efurd each with four and Hattie Price with two.

Lakeside won the ninth-grade boys game 29-28.

The Panthers led 5-2 after the first quarter and 15-9 at halftime, but Lakeside cut the lead to 18-16 going into the fourth quarter.

Elijah Coffey led the Panthers (7-5) with seven points, while Max Perkins had six, Breck Soderquist four, Jared Clark three and Cam Collins, Colin Evers, Trey Whorton and Jackson Ford two each.

The ninth-graders return to action Monday at home against Bentonville.

Eighth-grade

SPRINGDALE -- The Siloam Springs eighth-grade girls picked up a 34-20 win over Springdale Lakeside on Thursday night.

The Lady Panthers led 11-5 after the first quarter and 19-9 at halftime before carrying a 31-11 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Reina Tiefel led the Lady Panthers with 10 points, while Halle Hernandez, Hannah Riley and Sidney Pfeiffer all had six. Alexa Maxwell and Naomi Boyd each scored two and Bethany Markovich one.

The eighth-grade boys defeated Springdale Lakeside in overtime. Complete results were not available at presstime.

The eighth-graders return to action Monday at Bentonville Fulbright.

Seventh-grade

The Siloam Springs seventh-grade girls defeated Farmington 28-23 on Wednesday.

The Lady Panthers led 4-3 after the first quarter and 13-11 at halftime. Siloam Springs pulled ahead 19-15 going into the fourth quarter.

Brooke Ross led the Lady Panthers with 18 points while Faith Ellis had four, Sophie Stephenson three, Brooke Smith two and Kalianhi Jacklick one.

The Siloam Springs seventh-grade boys were defeated by Farmington 39-28 on Wednesday.

Conner Clayton led Siloam Springs with 13 points, while Nathan Vachon had nine, Dalton Newman four and Camden Blackfox two.

The seventh-graders return to action on Jan. 20.
