Softball falls at Alma in district game

ALMA -- The Siloam Springs softball team remained winless on the season Tuesday after a 15-0 loss in four innings at Alma.

The Lady Panthers (0-6, 0-3 5A/6A District 1) fell behind 3-0 after the first inning, and Alma added seven runs in the second inning to take a 7-0 lead.

Siloam Springs held Alma scoreless in the third inning, but the Airedalettes scored eight runs in the fourth to take the run-rule victory.

Bailey Webb had a home run and two RBIs for Alma, while Peyton Barnhill had two hits and three RBIs and Mariah Squires had two hits and two RBIs.

Complete statistics for Siloam Springs were not available at presstime.

The Lady Panthers are back in action with their home opener March 27 against Russellville.
