Varsity girls track fifth at Gravette, boys 12th

GRAVETTE -- The Siloam Springs girls track team took fifth place Thursday at the Gravette High School Relays held at Lion Stadium.

Grove, Okla., won the meet with 112 points, followed by Bentonville West 94, Rogers Heritage 82, Pea Ridge 64, Siloam Springs 45, Shiloh Christian 39, Van Buren 38, Jay, Okla. 34, Providence Academy 32, Greenland 29, Gravette 22.5, Farmington 18, West Fork 15, Prairie Grove 13, Ozark 10, Lincoln 5, Gentry 5, Cedarville 3 and Mansfield 2.

Brooke Henderson placed fifth in the triple jump at 32 feet, 5.5 inches and scored four points. Rebekah Rodgers was 16th at 27-10, followed by Maggie Mathe in 19th at 26-0.5.

Kimber McWhorter scored three points with a sixth-place finish in the pole vault at 7-6.

The 4x800-meter relay team of Allika Pearson, Rodgers, Emma Hulbert and Chloe McGooden placed third and scored six points with a time of 10 minutes, 48.84 seconds.

Pearson placed fourth and scored five points in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:54.12, while Claudia Mercado was eighth and scored one at 6:17.79 and Kimberly Guillen ninth at 6:27.47.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Madison Pharr, Chloe Price, Henderson and Hadlee Hollenback placed fifth and scored four points at 54.08.

Price took third place in the 400-meter dash at 1:03.91, while Candy Dubon was 14th at 1:09.41 and Baleigh Butler 36th at 1:25.38.

Hollenback was third in the 300-meter hurdles at 51.80, scoring six points, with Rodgers placing 23rd at 1:11.42.

Hollenback placed eighth in the 100-meter dash at 13.12 and scored one point.

Pearson placed sixth and scored three points in the 3,200-meter run at 12:46.11 with Mercado placing eighth and scoring one point with a time of 13:42.19.

The Lady Panthers' 4x400-meter relay team of McGooden, Caroline Farine, Hulbert and Price took fourth place and scored five points with a time of 4:34.37.

Price took 12th in the high jump at 4-4.

Shealy Sougie placed 21st in the shot put at 25-0.

Guillen was 10th in the 800-meter run at 2:49.92, while Brittany Pilcher was 12th at 2:52.50 and Caroline Farine 19th at 2:58.12.

Pharr was 21st in the 200-meter dash at 30.12, while Henderson was 24th at 30.42 and Kaya Mason 40th at 33.52.

Boys

The Panthers finished 12th out of 18 teams in the boys meet.

Bentonville West won the boys meet with 145 points, while Bentonville High had 132. Rogers Heritage was third at 70 points, followed by Pea Ridge 57, Farmington 46, Springdale Har-Ber 45, Grove, Okla. 27, Van Buren 26, Shiloh Christian 25, Gentry 25, Jay 14.5, Siloam Springs 12, Providence 10, Gravette 10, Elkins 9, The New School 5, Greenland 3 and Prairie Grove 1.5.

Primo Agbehi had a leap of 19 feet, 2 inches in the long jump and finished fourth and scored five points. Murphy Perkins was seventh at 18-6 and scored two points.

The Panthers' 4x100-meter relay team of Jacob Wakefield, Perkins, Kaiden Thrailkill and Agbehi placed sixth at 45.09 and scored three points.

Agbehi scored one point with an eighth-place finish of 23.54 in the 200-meter dash, while Perkins was 20th at 24.30 and Wakefield 24th at 24.46.

The Panthers' 4x400-meter relay team of Agbehi, Chase Mills, Dillon Ferguson and Miguel Paz finished eighth and scored one point with a time of 3:53.60.

Agbehi placed 15th in the triple jump at 38-6.5,

Perkins took 10th place in the high jump at 5-8, while Wakefield was 17th at 5-6.

Fermin Velis placed 10th in the shot put with a throw of 40-11.75, followed by Thrailkill in 18th at 37-6 and Isaac Knudsen in 30th at 35-6.

Kameron Greenlee placed ninth in the discus with a throw of 115-11.5, while Knudsen was 11th at 115-1.

Blaise Becan placed 12th in the pole vault at 9-6, while Chase Mills was 17th at 7-6.

Tristen Cunningham placed 34th in the 110-meter hurdles at 32.43.

Agbehi placed 11th in the 100-meter dash at 11.31, while Perkins was 15th at 11.40 and Thrailkill 29th at 11.80.

Adam Kennedy placed 30th in the 1,600-meter run at 5:50.95, while Ransom Van Asche was 35th at 5:57.43.

Miguel Paz took 12th place in the 400-meter dash at 56.27, and Mills was 32nd at 59.43.

Thrailkill placed 34th in the 300-meter hurdles at 50.59, while Cunningham was 39th at 57.20.

Kennedy placed 40th in the 800-meter run at 2:35.28, while Van Asche was 42nd at 2:37.64.
